ACC was founded in 2013 by three business-minded individuals who met in college and became life-long friends. It is an organization where people can meet, learn about or discuss business principles, become business associates, and expand their knowledge base and network of contacts. Accordingly, although ACC's events are open to the public, the organization sees a great value on building relationships through membership and consistent participation.
Great relationships, as with great business, are built over time with patience and work. It is this patient approach that places ACC on a solid foundation to carry through on its mission. There is one segment of the entrepreneurial landscape that ACC believes can derive great benefit from its activities. That would be the segment occupied by self-identified entrepreneurs who have jobs but yearn to start their own business or grow a business that they started on the side – to one day become a full-time Boss.
They know that it will take patience to pull it off. And, they will candidly admit, making such a move can be quite scary. But, without denying the hurdles, it is undeniable that education and networking can substantially reduce the risk of failure and the fear of starting or growing a business. ACC tailors much of its services and events to help these entrepreneurs get started and continue to succeed.
